Poured out of a 12 oz can into one of my pint glasses, this beer, which is a New England style IPA w/ chilies added of course, pours a somewhat cloudy/hazy color with a nice, fluffy looking white head that's well over an inch thick that settles to big cluster swirls of film layer surface foam, a very thick ring lining the inside of the glass at the beer's surface, and excellent lacing. Aromas of some bready malts along with citrus, tropical fruit hops and of course the chilies. The taste is very similar, with some bready, slightly zesty malts along with citrus, melony, tropical, juicy hop notes and the aforementioned chili peppers. The heat from the chili peppers does dominate the flavor profile here, yes. It, however and fortunately, is not so strong that it overpowers/cancels out the other flavors. As someone who is a big fan of chili peppers, this has the perfect amount of spice heat for me, but I could see this being a bit too much for beer drinkers who are not fond of chili peppers, spicy foods, etc. Has a crisp, also smooth, light to medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. All of the flavors, and especially the chili spice, linger on the inside of my mouth for a long time after each sip. I really enjoy this one. One of the best, if not the best, chili beer I've ever had.

I don't want to mess with Jobu, so I will keep everything on the positive side. Not many brews are named for important (fictional) voodoo gods. Isn't that a double whatever - fictional and gods?
It pours very dirty and cloudy with an aroma that reflects (and warns of) the chiles. It tastes like a lighter hazy IPA with a good dose of chiles thrown in. The finish is hot and spicy. While we were working on the growler I had to bust out some cheese to mellow things out.
Recommended. Its a bit hotter than I would prefer, but still fun to drink.

This is really great chili ipa, the bitterness and hop flavors blend really well and give this a much more balanced kick than some other chili offerings. I like this one a lot
