Belgian Tripel

Having this on tap at the brewery, this beer draws a clear, light to medium golden color. Head is about 1/3 of an inch thick one first drawn and served. Head settles quickly to a thick ring lining the inside of the glass at the beer’s surface along with a nice film layer of surface foam. Aromas of some bready malts along with a bit of spice and some fruity notes, including but not limited to a bit of banana along with a bit of clove and some Belgian candi sugars. A similar profile, with the bready, caramel malt sweetness along with the aforementioned clove and banana notes along with some bubblegum and the aforementioned Belgian candi sugar. The spice here is quite nice and not quite the type of spice I’m necessarily used to and this style of beer. Good balance of flavors. Has a crisp, also smooth, medium to full body mouth filled with moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish, and all of the flavors linger nicely on my palate for a while after each sip for the aftertaste.
