32oz crowler purchased at the brewery. 15.00. Canned 3/23/18. Served in a Variant snifter. Enjoyed 3/27/18.
Pours a hazy peach orange with a little more than two fingers of pale head. Hazy islands, modest collar, few strings of lace.
Aromas of stone fruit, melon, citrus, honey and a little bread.
Tastes of sweet cake, peach fuzz, melon, citrus rind, honey wheat, orange pulp and a surprisingly subtle bit of alcohol.
Smooth, silky, medium full body with fairly light carbonation. Peach, orange, melon and cake keep things tasty in the finish.
I continue to enjoy what I’ve been trying from Variant. Double Cashmere doesn’t quite deliver the drinkability of the original but is still a nice showcase for a hop I’d previously not had much experience with.
