Appearance: Arrives a dark fudge color with a thin ecru cap; leggy with a few spots
Smell: Chocolate, coconut and hazelnut wrapped up with Bourbon and oak tones
Taste: The Bourbon flavors arrive early but the don't overwhelm as the chocolate, coconut and hazelnut all blend together and make their presence known; the finish is on the sweet side but is far from cloying
Mouthfeel: Full bodied and creamy with low to moderate carbonation; some warmth in the gullet
Overall: This is an outstanding pastry stout; the flavors are incredibly well-balanced and every element is in its proper proportion
