Release 008 Hype Can Series
ABV: 7.2%

My first from this brewery.

Over 4 months on this can.

Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice cloudy yellow/orange color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, mango pineapple, papaya, peach), pretty nice diesel like. The taste is pretty nice, hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, mango, pineapple, papaya, peach), pretty nice diesel like. Medium body, ABV is hidden pretty nicely, nice little sweetness, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, a pretty tasty brew. Surprised me. Wish it was fresher. Orange Julius! Addictive! Milk Shake!

Billed as hazy but not quite. More clear than cloudy, with a nice nose on it. Lemon gumdrop and sweet jelly. Rounded finish, with some Belgo-esters on the end.

Update canned 8/21/18, consumed 9/5/18

Same look and pretty much feel, but wow MUCH better aroma & flavor. Apparently they had some kind of yeast issue when I first tried & reviewed this. Very nice blend of danky floral & piney hop notes with juicy tropical & citrus fruits.

Overall bumped from 3.75 to 4.25

I think this is my first Seven Stills beer. Juicy, fruity hazy. Unique fruit combo profile, makes you think maybe of candy or bubblegum at times. Feel is medium-light, soft and smooth but not creamy or thick. Decent effort, kind of pricey.

Canned 5/15/18
Look: Hazy golden yellow. 2 fingers worth of head which settles rapidly leaving moderate lacing.
Smell: Huge fruit aroma. Loads of orange, guava, pineapple, mango, tangerine, lemon, passionfruit and cantaloupe. Hop presence is light and florally. Slight pepper presence on the nose which pairs nicely with fruit sweetness.
Taste: Follows the nose. Bursting citrus and tropical fruit flavor, with a nice addition of some peach and apricot flavoring. Orange, lemon, pineapple, mango, guava, tangerine, passionfruit, strawberry and melon all abundant in flavor. Hop flavoring is lemongrassy. Malt presence is noticeable and somewhat biscuity, but minimal. Damn this is good.
Feel: Medium in body and weight, with low carbonation. Soft and pillowy, very very smooth.
Overall: I love this. It sets the bar for an NEIPA, at least for me. This is very smooth and easy to drink, and represents the style very well. I am glad that I have more of them, and am very grateful to have tried. Cheers!
