This was a very interesting sweet milk stout. Usually I am wary of the peanut butter ones because they tend to come out tasting a little too oily and artificial. This one worked out very well. No date printed on can. Pours a thick black color that was fairly opaque. Just a little mocha head and very minimal lingering lacing. Smells of roasted nuts, dark chocolate, medium roast coffee, caramel, vanilla and malt. Taste follows the nose, very nice peanut butter notes in the foreground. I really appreciated the balance between the regular coffee and chocolate notes in the stout along with the peanuts. Smooth, slightly sticky, fairly rich mouthfeel with just enough carbonation. Probably one of the more memorable peanut butter stout I’ve had.
