Taster at brewery. Golden pour with thin white foamy head. Not detecting much of anything, except for some lingering bitterness. Weak, watery. Bad pour?

Pours a hazy, golden in color with hints of amber. Minimal head and lacing as you drink. Carbonation looks a bit below average. It looks quite a lot like an apple cider.
The aroma is quite strong. Lots of melon and some bubble gum esters with a burnt caramel malt profile and a hint of sourness. Smells quite good, albeit unexpected.
Taste matches the smell quite well. Melon and caramel apple with some spice. Citrus coming through towards the swallow. Quite juicy. Finishes pretty dry with a lingering juiciness on the tongue.
This is a medium bodied beer with zesty carbonation. There is a bit of chewiness, but it also comes off a tad thin. Quite drinkable though.
Overall I really like this beer. It is not at all what I expected, it's kind of like a mixture of an IPA and a NEIPA, it has a pretty interesting hop profile. Really enjoy the flavor though and it's quite drinkable. Cheers!
