Taster at brewery. Pale golden pour with patchy head. Aroma features a hint of melon, champagne yeast. Taste is bland, light melon, and some brutal dryness.

here is a style of beer that seems perfectly suited to the utah law requiring this low abv for draft, it plays into the lighter grain demands of making dry beer at that strength, and i think these guys did a nice job with this, my first of their beers. real pale and cleaner looking than many under an airy and lasting white head. the nose here is bright and fruity, maybe a little one dimensional with hops only, the grain here is super pale and light, minimal in taste too, but that works in this style most of the time, and im fine with it, especially given the big pineapple and lime notes of the hops, seems almost tropical when i smell it. a little more balanced in the taste, but still entirely hop driven. a slight ester from the yeast maybe, but this is fermented pretty clean. i like the light body, the finishing dryness, and the overall ease of drinking here, this is summery and refreshing and the hops are nicely selected. a light spruce note meets some tropical fruit, green apple, and lemon. good carbonation too. hope to check these guys out next time i am in salt lake!
