Notes via stream of consciousness: I'm not sure I can describe what this "beer" looks like. It looks like a strawberry cream icepop that's mostly melted down but not completely. It's completely opaque with colors of off-white, pink, and light ruby. It looks like someone threw up a pizza into a glass, and I'm not kidding about that because I've actually seen it. At first there was no separation of head and body but one is now forming. I personally find it disturbing to look at but I understand that this is a "milkshake beer" so I'll let it go. The aroma is like candied fruit. It's berryish, but also kind of vanillaish. I know there's supposedly raspberry and coconut in here but I get neither. I should also note that there's nothing on the label regarding ingredients. Nor is there any alcohol content listed. The flavor is fuller and much sweeter. It reminds me of strawberries and cream ice cream but I do get the sharper note of raspberry as well. It's REALLY sweet and yet somehow it's not cloying in the finish. By the way, it's really just that one note of sweet and creamy fruitiness. I don't get any bitterness, just a very slight hint of acidity, and no alcohol. I find it very odd. How many calories are in this? In the mouth it's full bodied and beyond, and it doesn't feel like a beer at all. It does feel like a fruit smoothie in a way, but I think even those have a little more sharpness to them. I am not sure how to judge this "beer" at all because it's so weird. The first time I had one at Tired Hands Brewing Co. I said that I would have been embarrassed as a brewer to serve something that looked like this but that's actually the least of its issues. The mouthfeel is something else but I'm not sure that I actually enjoy it. As a dessert beer it works, and I guess that's how I'll look at it. It really is a dessert as it's so sweet. Again, how many calories are in this, and how strong is it? If it's high calorie and low alcohol I'd rather just have an actual dessert. It is what it is and you'll have to decide for yourself if it's for you; it's definitely not for me.
