This one sounds weird as hell. A Smoothie Sour based on a Baja Blast? I do love me some Baja Blast with my Taco Bell, but I’m not sure it needs to be a beer. That being said, morbid curiosity got the best of me, and I bought this almost immediately when I saw it on Tavour. The can is also a bit soft so that makes me nervous. Let’s dig in
Pours an opaque milky green with a finger of whitish green head that quickly fades to nothing and leaves no lacing
It’s pretty close to Baja Blast in the nose, just a bit more tart. I’m picking up on aromas of lime sherbet, pineapple juice, orange juice, lemon zest, mango skin, and vanilla
Things get a bit sweeter and further from the source material in taste, but it still isn’t bad. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting mango purée, orange juice, overripe pineapple, vanilla ice cream, lime zest, and doughy malt. The swallow brings notes of lime sherbet, mango skin, vanilla ice cream, orange juice, overripe banana, and light pineapple juice
A full body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a rich and creamy beer. Finishes neutral but very sweet
I don’t hate this one, but I’m not really sold on it. A fun beer but not one I want too much of

16oz can from Tavour. Looks like pea soup at the pour, eventually a lighter pea green layer forms as the head. Does it taste like Baja Blast? Close enough! Light tropical, fruity aroma, mango, lime. Taste is more lime, gentle tartness, citrus, tropical punch. Fat, thick smoothie body, creamy, lush

13 oz tulip glass draft pour at Lures Bar & Grille. Pours bright green with a hint of blue - really weird color - and totally opaque. Huge, creamy, foamy head that spills over the top of the glass as it's brought to the table. Aroma and flavor feature lime, rainbow sherbet, and mango. Fairly sweet but not cloying, with moderate acidity. Mouthfeel is similar to sherbet melted in 7-Up. Overall it's a fun, tasty liquid that I wouldn't call beer.
