sampling a 16 oz can at cellar temp and pouring into my snifter. The date stamp is 8/4/2022 and the can was a Christmas gift from my brother. Its been in my cellar since then.
The beer pours a rich cola brown and sits in the glass a dark rich chocolate color. A creamy beige head of .5 cm foams up and fades to a sturdy edge layer and one large wispy island in the center of the glass.
The aroma of the beer is malt forward with some rich chocolate notes, a little brown sugary note, light roast, and some bready wafer like scents too. Fairly sweet and not robust nose, but I do find it fairly agreeable.
First sip reveals a medium body with fairly smooth texture and fine tingly carbonation. Nice easy drinker on the physical traits.
Flavor is sweet malt with some caramel and roast notes mixing with chocolate and a bit of brown sugar again. no hop note and ABV is hidden.
This beer is kinda sweet, but not cloying and I find it enjoyable to drink. glad to have tried this one.
