So I think this beer is amazing however, all I taste is chocolate I don’t taste any peanut butter. Not a big or rich body but definitely a sticky body. Overall very good but with peanut butter presence I’m only giving it a 4.25.

With the name and the whacky label art and the decadence of their fruited sours I was on hype factor 11. So, the reality is it’s good, not mind-blowing. Poured cool to a Mortalis mini snifter. The nose is a light cocoa dust aroma. Body has light carbonation, no head that cares to linger. Flavor is a smooth milk chocolate creamy malt base, but the peanut butter is not very distinguishable, if at all, to my palate. Not really picking up any typical bourbon flavor. Maybe some slight wood char and associated dryness. No alcohol bite and a tiny bit of warming with the 14.1% ABV. Mouthfeel is medium, teetering on the edge of heavy. As it warms, there is a burgeoning flavor of peanut butter: smooth like Jif. More barrel, too.
So, this is one that wants / needs even a little more time to warm and breathe than what you might already give a complex imperial stout.
