Apparently, there's an emphasis on the Schmoojee style at Imprint, as this is only one of a wide variety of styles. At the crack of a pint can, it's raspberries, all raspberries. The beer bubbles up and out of the can before there's an opportunity to empty it into a clear glass liter mug. Fairly, this is at room temperature and the pour didn't create an unreasonable amount of foam. Rather, it's a nice tight sustaining violet head atop a purple-mauve dull and murky liquid. Virtue of the wide opening of a liter mug, now it seems that there's a milky addition to smell, probably it's the white chocolate inclusion. The taste is rich, as is the body and it's not only because of some lactose. This doesn't cheat the consumer out of a concentrated fruit puree. It may have to be in its assigned category, but this isn't close to a true fruited kettle sour. This is a fruity desert beer and it works well as that. There's no sourness here and it's even difficult to detect any tartness. By strict applications to its category, this would do very poorly. But as a desert beer, it's wonderful. There's plenty of raspberry sweetness, yet the white chocolate doesn't make it too sweet, just rich, full-bodied and smooth. There's significant stratified glass lacing and even just a hint of tartness in the finish. Bring on more Schmoojees, but only for desert.
