good heavens these beers are thick and weird and so intensely flavored they necessarily have to be small doses things, like i cant even imagine drinking a whole can of this, let alone more than one, absurd thickness to this, chunky like a smoothie, all pulpy and milky and not even quite liquid, thicker than that, just wild to look at, this one is a dullish orange color that somehow is actually pretty well carbonated. i think this is one of the more palatable beers ive had in this style space, despite its palate enormity and relative lack of beer ingredient character, the key lime and mango parts are both great, tangy and sweet, tropical and fairly genuine, high amounts of puree likely, and the cheesecake element isnt super intense thankfully, ive always found cream cheese to be a weird and gross beer ingredient, but its well behind the fruit in this and not really a problem. the beer overall isnt really sour either, no more acidic than the lime itself in here, not really lactic to me at all, although i definitely get lemon zest and orange juice nuance in the fruitiness both in aroma and flavor. the mango is summery and almost healthy seeming, its sweet but so is the fruit so its not that weird in this, and this seems a little more appealing overall than some of their others, banana cookies and cream ice cream or whatever they called it comes to mind, yikes. these flavors at least belong in a smoothie. couldnt drink a lot of this, and these beers are so hard to really score, since grain and hops arent really part of the equation, and the texture doesnt compare against real beer, only against actual smoothies, which seems like a weird exercise. this is fun though, good for what it is, beer for kids...
