Poured from 16oz can into my 8th Wonder chalice. Canned 3/15/23, which is admittedly a long time ago, although I find for this style it doesn’t seem to matter too much as long as the beer’s been refrigerated.
Appearance: kind of a deep, murky salmonberry-pink hue with a thin layer of ivory foam that did not stick around long at all. To be honest, I was expecting something nuclear red — this is a nice surprise.
Smell: sweet, of course, and with lovely cherry aroma walks the line between “candy” and “fresh fruit”. It actually really appeals to me.
Taste: sweet, but only moderately so relateive to the style. There’s a nice tartness that, again, helps the cherry flavor balance itself between cherry cough drops and natural cherry juice. Really good.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a light carbonation and a reasonable smoothness.
Overall: I’m a sucker for cherry beers, and this one is executed very well. Really, really good.
