It's, so far, a one time 2023 product in the Schmoojee line. This one is dark mauve in color. The pour that emptied a pint can entirely into a clear glass liter mug produced only a modest head, dense and a just a shade lighter in color. There's a muddled, but unmistakably berry aroma, although nothing more specific is identifiable. It also brings that vague notice to the nose that this has lactose within. The taste is rich, sweet and fruity, mostly some sort of cherry/berry combination. So much so that a good experiment would be to have a non-drinker sample it. Even they may have trouble identifying this as an alcoholic beverage, there's that much flavor and body that disguises it. Obviously, this isn't for a beer purist, but it makes a wonderful dessert beer, as richly sweet, smooth and flavorful it is. The sticky glass lacing is nearly ridiculous as it leaves significant residue of the puree involved. Yet, somehow that stickiness doesn’t impact the mouthfeel negatively. It may not be a real beer, but it is a treat.
