You know we love our big stouts especially when a bourbon barrel is joining the game. Our barrel aging program is starting now and it’s going to be EPIC......
The Emperor demanded from us the darkest and most well hidden place to rest for 10months to fully develop his powers and we gave him bourbon barrels.
We present you our Monstrous , Bigger and more Dangerous and Bold than ever before MOCTEZUMA Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout.
After resting in some super freshly emptied Heaven Hill barrels for such a long time this black beauty clocking at 14% Abv came out with Huuuge Vanilla and Bourbon aroma rounded by amazing taste of Chocolate ,Caramel and Toffee

Copenhagen 1/10 2020. 33 cl bottle capped and sealed with wax from Mikkeller Web-shop. Ornamental drawing with a skull peeking out from the jaws of some kind of hound on the label.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small beige head. Settles as thin, flimsy patches of foam unable to cover much of anything. No lacing.
Aroma is dark and intense with a spicy bitter odor peeking in. Brown sugar, dark sweet alcohol, molasses, sweet corn. A bit of cured leather.
Light carbonation. Thick, viscous, fat, oily texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a light boozy burn running underneath. Lingering. Boozy liqueur finish.
Quite the sweet Bourbon bomb. Potent sweet and stays with you for a long time.

Pours jet black with soft chocolate colored head.
Smell is rich and oaky with notes of bourbon, cocoa, coffee, fudge, cinnamon, cardamom and rum-raisins with roasted and sweet notes.
Taste is nothing short of amazing. Rich, intense and sweet with massive notes of oaky bourbon, chcolate, coffee, rum-raisins, goden syrup, brown sugar and some cinnamon and cardamom hints. Boozy in feel, but zero booziness in taste. All of these powerful notes should make this unbalanced and unfocused, but everything just melds into an entity greater that the sum of it's parts. Breathtakingly good.
Mouthfeel is thick, chewy and syrupy with good carbonation.
Overall, a truly outstanding stout. Easily one of the very best bourbon aged stouts I've ever had.
