Copenhagen 5/11 2020. 44 cl can from Mikkeller Web-shop. Ice cream getting covered with banana cream, chocolate and sprinkles on the can.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small, but dense light beige head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a strong sweet, dessert-like odor. An abundance of sweet banana, mingling with hard candy, vanilla, lactose and cream liqueur. A potent whiff of alcohol.
Light carbonation. thick, viscous, fat, creamy, smooth texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a very light sour bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and sugary. Lingering. Finish is sweet with a light touch of banana liqueur.
Indeed a Banana liqueur dressed up as a beer - or is it the other way around?
