Solid oil black appearance.
Body is above average with a slick, thick oily feel with very light carbonation. Overall it has an excellent body.
Aroma is spice/cinnamon, crushed red pepper, vanilla with light black coffee. Taste is some heat, spice, black coffee which is stronger than the aroma. Some vanilla with bitter dark as well as some sweet chocolate.
Overall this is a really excellent beer that I'm glad I took a chance on. Would buy this again without a doubt

Pours like motor oil. Dark brown foam. Deep cocoa aroma. Heavy chocolate and cocoa body. Slight vanilla maple finish. Very heavy. You can taste the alcohol. If you like heavy imperial stouts this is a good one.

16oz can from Halftime. Black pour, flat. Aroma is vanilla and maple, some chocolate, faint coffee. Taste also favors the vanilla and maple, coffee just a minor accent to the chocolate. Silky, smooth, mild sweetness, little sign of the ABV.

16oz. can into a Founders snifter.

Pours pitch black and viscous. Oily, thick legs coat the glass. No head, no lace. Nose is heavy on the coffee and vanilla. As it warms, the maple presence becomes more and more prominent. Some roasted malt as well. Very aromatic and clean. Beer opens chocolate, fudge, and vanilla. Maple, sweet cream, chocolate, and espresso in the middle. Cocoa powder, roasted malt, and fudge at the end with a boozy, syrupy finish. Very solid. Body is full with low carbonation. Smooth, rich, and chewy on the palate and goes down hot and messy with a lingering aftertaste.

This one's delicious. Clean, to the point, with all the stout flavors I'm looking for in the style.
