Copenhagen 22/12 2021. 44 cl can from Fish & Beer, Amagerbrogade, Kbh. S. A very dark and fierce wolf smiling at med from the can.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a small dark beige head. Settles as thin, flimsy, patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense, sweet, dark and malty with a strong pastry-like touch of vanilla and chocolate. Chocolate mousse, vanilla, cocoa and brown sugar. Some decomposing dark fruits peeking in.
Light carbonation- Thick, oily, creamy, viscous, soft, smooth, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a heavy sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a modest bitter undertone. Lingering. A light touch of alcohol in the finish.
This beer is a solid meal in itself. So potent and rich I hardly noticed the ABV. Heavily sweet without being cloying. A dark, sugary wolf indeed.
