Pours a hazy, deep orange coloration with a large, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and citrus/tropical/stone fruit hops, with notes of grapefruit, passion fruit and peach. Taste is an excellent balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, slightly dank hops, with citrus, tropical and stone fruit notes of grapefruit, passion fruit and peach, as well as hints of herbal weed. Finishes with a light bitterness and some passion fruit and peach lingering in the aftertaste. Soft, pillowy mouthfeel with a medium/rich body and medium carbonation.
This makes for a great Triple New England IPA that's really up there with the greats I've had so far. Very juicy, vibrant and expressive hop character, with peach and passion fruit standing out particularly here and peach is something I don't often get, but remeber having gotten distinctly from Nectaron before, while Strata adds those bright passion fruit notes and Citra brings some grapefruit to the table. This is very much your typical, sweet'ish fruit salad New England IPA, which I'm not generally a huge fan of, but is just so well done here, with the sweetness never feeling cloying and not a hint of booziness to this either, with a very soft and pillowy mouthfeel as well.
