Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. No date on can that I could see.
Appearance: pale, drab gold hue with plenty of murk and a thick head of pillowy ivory foam.
Smell: sweet malt with a little bit of tropical fruit, a little bit of herbal character, and some citrus zest. It’s got kind of a building complexity. It’s rather growing on me.
Taste: much like the aroma, though a bit more herbal and less tropical. The herbal character is almost like a sage-type flavor; it’s interesting. Like the aroma, I find it growing on me. Hebal juice … I’m into it.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: while I would agree that this beer might not be for everyone, its somewhat unusual flavor profile really appeals to my sense of novelty.
