Good IPA!! This Seven Islands brewery is a bit of a mystery, even their website does not give a location!! Fearless Inner Fear is contract brewed by Mason Ale Works in San Diego California. This beer is a West Coast IPA, not a real hop bomb, but having the piney, resiny hops and a good level of bitterness not often encountered after the deluge of New England IPAs on the market. Poured from a 16 oz. can into a pint glass, this beer features a hazy deep gold color and a huge foamy/frothy white head with excellent retention and thick bands of lacing on the glass. Aroma and taste include piney hops and some citrus and melon. The malt is more the dry biscuity type rather than bready or caramel. Very good flavor with a nice level of bitterness. Mouthfeel is crisp and somewhat bitter, It has a resiny feel from the hops. No real alcohol presence - goes down pretty easy. A very good beer.
