A: Pours an opaque yet still clear very dark cola brown approaching black in color with moderate to heavy amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate dark mahogany + dark chestnut brown + garnet red colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall dense creamy sudsy foamy tan head that slowly reduces to a large patch of very thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of roasted + slightly charred + chocolate + caramel malts with a minimal amount of caramel sweetness. Light to moderate aromas of dark roasted coffee and earthy hops. Light aromas of wortiness.
T: Upfront there are slightly stronger than moderate flavors of roasted + slightly charred + chocolate + caramel malts with a minimal amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by a light flavor of dark roasted coffee. Finally there is a light flavor of earthy hops. There is a light amount of lingering roasty bitterness.
M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly thin/watery.
O: Easy to drink with a slightly thin/watery mouthfeel (even for a NA stout/porter). Enjoyable as it is not overly sweet like some of the other NA stout/porters I have tried though there is still a bit of unfermented wort flavors and aromas.

As dark as your typical stout while paired with a large tan head that left good lacing. A little bit of cocoa hiding behind the toasted malts in the aroma. The smell here teases but does not fully open up. Earthy aspects amid the herbal hops but the malts still dominate. Light-to-medium bodied mouthfeel with good carbonation. Overall, very decent for the NA style

Poured from 12oz can into a dimpled mug. Best by 5/2/22.
Appearance: dark brown hue with what looks like it might be a little haze and a finger of frothy tan foam atop; I think it looks good. I'm not sure if they are going for a porter or stout or what, but it could convincingly be either!
Smell: lightly malty, with a dash of chocolate and roastiness and a fair bit of sweetness. Vegetal hops come through as well; it's not exactly like a regular beer, but not too bad for NA.
Taste: lightly malty with a definite roasty character. It's drier than the aroma would suggest, which I like here. It's like a light, dry stout or a particularly roasty porter. Not perfect, but again, for NA you can do a whole lot worse.
Mouthfeel: light body but a big carbonation that is almost convincingly creamy.
Overall: for non-alcoholic stout/porter, this is pretty darn good. It's not too sweet, so it quaffs easily, but it also has a roasty dryness that sells it as beer.

Pours a large frothy fizzy 2 finger tan head with med retention, a bit of lacing, very dark almost black color
Nose has some coffee, roasted malts and roasted coffee, a little char, but also some stale cookie and touch of cardboard but I don't think it's oxidation, a dirty roast character, touch of earthy hop
Taste has a similar weird cardboard thing but again not oxidation I don't think, stale cookie, old coffee but some roasted coffee as well, a touch of bitterness with some mild earthy hops, a little biscuity malt and cream oat, hint of bitter chocolate
Mouth is med to lighter bod, a bit creamy, med to a little light fizzy carb
Overall not my of the NA beers, a little too much stale characters, and weird cardboard-like characters, but not terrible, and I hope drinkable enough at only 30 cals

L - 2-finger beige head craters in from the center, leaving minimal lacing. Cola black body.
S - caramel, roast, chocolate, anise, soy, smoke, nuts. Smells like a porter. Lots going on.
T - follows the nose. No off flavors, and the wortiness is kept to a minimum. Low bitterness. Low sweetness.
F - light body with average carb.
O - this beer is comparable to the Athletic stouts, with some tradeoffs. The taste is drier and less worty, which is to my liking. But the body here can’t compare to what Athletic is doing. On the whole I like both, but give this one a slight nod for the lack of off flavors.
