Lil Beaver Brewery

Rectangular box of a place, with lots of outdoor space for eating and imbibing during times of good weather.

A load of their own brews on tap and in cans to go.Plenty of parking, friendly service and a lively crowd when I visited.

Typical pub grub menu….the chicken Sammie and IPA on tap and later in cans were all quite tasty….worthy spot for a visit and to pick up cans.

stopped here for lunch and some beer while driving through Illinois. in an industrial park type location. bar and some tables inside, also some outdoor seating as well. entrances on both sides of the building. The branding and beaver puns was a little hokey, but the flight of beers I tried were all decent. bar tender/server was friendly. casual food menu - snack, sandwiches, etc.

A very welcoming, clean place at the new brewery. Nice back patio with a bar. Had wonderful beers on tap. High quality beers in which I kept tasting their Neepah in my mouth all the way home! 10 beers on draft and very nice young servers. Let us sample all.

Tucked out of the way in an industrial Park it is worth finding. Nice tap room staff, the brewer was most kind. They have beers to go and a large selection on tap. We liked the stouts and porters the best.

Above average beers here, leaning hard into the pastry & haze end of the spectrum, but at least they're doing it well.

Taproom is a dedicated portion of the brewery, framed in by racks of barrels and bags of malt. Swag signs and shirts line the walls. Utilitarian feel, it's clean inside with a couple of unshaded picnic tables out front. A to-go cooler packed with cans on the front wall opposite the seating area and bar in the back. Metal chairs on concrete, not the most comfortable, but they aren't really going for cozy here.

Great service at the bar, they were patient as I assembled a first-timer flight. Highlights were Citra Space Crystals and a fruit bomb strawberry Hefeweizen. The "sour IPA" was a dull version of a hoppy Berliner Weiss, and the lager was decent, though not memorable. Got a couple 4-packs and a howler to go. Can't say i'm really a fan of cartoon beavers all over the packaging, but they're really running with it.

Overall Lil Beaver is a great addition to the local scene here, and I look forward to trying more of their stuff.

 

It's a new brewery, and the taproom is just part of the open warehouse. Nothing wrong with that, just don't expect anything more than that. Limited seating. But they're churning out a lot of fantastic beer, and the employees are knowledgeable and very friendly. 8 rotating taps. One of my favorite places to go for a great beer.

 

 

 

Amazing place! Wish I didn't have to go home. Wainbows is a Top 100 beer IMO!
