Draft at Flynn's in Mansfield
Light fizzy head, low retention, semi clear semi hazy deep amber orange color
Nose big sweet toasty malt, grainy, toasted caramel, biscuity, big honey and mead aroma with a little yeast, but like raw mead, butterscotch toffee, light perfumey alcohol
Taste big biscuity malt again, buttered cracker, toasted grain and caramel, fair butterscotch toffee, caramel and especially caramelized honey, pastry mead like, brochet, again raw honey mead, perfumey warming borderline fusel alcohol, drier mead like finish, but if drying anesthesizing alcohol
Mouth is med to fuller bod, tingly warm alcohol, a bit light on the carb
Overall ok, plenty of pastry brochet like mead honey, definitely a braggot with that much honey and caramelized mead, nice malts in there but not a huge barleywine like presence, alcohol was a little strong, but still enjoyable
