Attention K-mart shoppers!
We brewed the afterlife to celebrate all hallows eve, and as tribute to one of our favorite movies.
Our first foray into the dark arts, we used rye, wheat, special b, marris otter and roasted malts to give this beer a distinct flavor profile. Cocoa, coffee, and dark fruit with a full body and velvety mouthfeel due to an extra long boil.

From a 16oz can, undated. Served in a cervoise. Because I'm fancy.
Pours an opaque maple-brown-black with three fingers of lush, dense, mocha foam. Retention is just OK, leaving a wispy cap, a thick collar and some thin swooshes of lacing.
Smell is sharp and biting, roasted, toasted, and somehow the rye gives an aroma reminiscent of apple cider vinegar without the vinegar if that makes sense.
Taste is dry and biting, dark rustic toasted sour rye peasant bread, molasses and coffee with minor notes of cocoa and dates, before shifting back to the rye, bitter herb and coffee grinds for the finish.
Feel is powdery soft and smooth, no more than medium bodied and lightly carbonated. Dry and drying, but super easy drinking.
Good stuff. This was my first non-PA/IPA from Goodfire and they've done a real nice job with it.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
