Pumpkin // Imperial Lager // Beer Week Collab with Sacred Profane // 7% ABV // We brewed this with our friends at Sacred Profane Brewing—just two female brewers making a pumpkin beer! The decoction process allowed us to hit three important temperature rests: acid rest, protein rest, and saccharification. Pale in color and not overly sweet, we brewed this high-ABV lager with the main spices of a pumpkin beer: vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. All additions of pumpkin and spices are on the hot side; pumpkin was added to the mash, and spices were added during the boil.
