I bought a mixed 4 pack from Middlecoast and honestly, these are some of the worst beers I have had in a long time. Total waste of money. Never again.

On tap at Little Brown Barrel, Minersville PA tonight.
Arrives looking a little murky medium amber with a decent off white head. This leaves some interesting lacing.
Smells sweet and a little boozy.
Taste follows the nose. Some spice as well. Guessing this has been in the barrel a while, or towards the end of it. No real hop note. Sweet, malty, boozy.
Mouth above medium, finish sweet peppery booze.
Overall, as an ipa, as it stands, not so good. As a drink, not a complete waste. Will re-review if I happen upon a fresh one and it's significantly different.

Poured into a standard pint glass: color is amber, head is light tan with fine bubbles, nice lacing on the glass sides and lingering top.
Smell is caramel malt, mixed hop notes of grass, earth, spruce and citrus rind. Aroma is a bit muddled and not emphatic with no particular aroma sticking out.
Taste is similar - mixed, muddled malt flavors of toast and caramel; hop flavors of grass, earth, spruce and citrus rind.
Mouthfeel is low/moderate carbonation, solid middle bitterness a bit of lingering sweetness.
Overall a sweeter ipa, mixed hop notes, moderate bitterness.
