Golden body and egg white head, but it quickly recedes. Floral nose with fresh grains and fruit cocktail. Taste is bright hefeweizen: yeasty with mandarin orange tartness in the finish. A little alcohol warmth. I was glad to find this in my local six pack shop today, as I prefer traditional beers. Pint can.

16 ounce can into weizen glass, canned in 7/2019. Pours lightly hazy medium golden yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big lemon, peach, pear, banana, bubblegum, peppercorn, clove, melon, red apple, wheat, cracker white bread dough, herbal, floral, wood, grass, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, pale/wheat malts, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with big strength. Taste of big lemon, peach, pear, banana, bubblegum, peppercorn, clove, melon, red apple, wheat, cracker white bread dough, herbal, floral, wood, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, floral, woody, grassy bitterness; pepper/clove yeast spiciness; and light wheat tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, peach, pear, banana, bubblegum, peppercorn, clove, melon, red apple, wheat, cracker white bread dough, herbal, floral, wood, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, pale/wheat malts, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spiciness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, creamy/grainy, and fairly crisp/sticky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is a very nice Hefeweizen. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, pale/wheat malts, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/refreshing to drink with the mellowly bitter/spicy/drying finish. Nice soft feel for the style, flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Very well rounded German yeast complexity, with a great clean pale/wheat malt backbone, and solid noble hop presence. Mild residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example.
