Pint can to snifter. Look is golden, slightly hazy. Smell is light ginger. Taste tells me I missed what I thought this would be. The adjunct is “ginger beer flavor,” which means sweet bomb added, not spicy fresh ginger. As such, it is tasty as a boozy ginger ale shandy I guess. I certainly couldn’t tell you what style the base beer was supposed to be a kolsch, that’s for sure. There is a bit of fruity aftertaste as well, and a very small amount of ginger heat. The feel is slick from the residual sugar, carb is a bit low. Overall, I’m not a fan, but it could be my preference. If you like diabetes in a can, this could be your jam.
