From the 16 oz can in a snifter via Bluejacket74! Cheers Dude!
This unique marzen pours a luminous chill hazed deep amber with a
nice head of white foam that settles to a thick ring, thin dusty layer,
and sports some nice lacing. Nose of pumpkin, allspice, clove, and
caramel malts. Flavors hit the mark with pumpkin, allspice, cinnamon notes,
clove, and caramel malts with a touch of herbal hops. Mouth feel is medium,
medium light teetering towards light carbonation, and a spiced finish that
is lightly dry.
Overall, a unique take on a classic style!
Cheers

Poured into a pint glass. A beautiful dark orangey copper color, somewhat negated by a visual lack of pumpkin mash, and a fizzy head that disappeared within 2 minutes, leaving zero lacing. The nose was bright, and lively... a grassy, citrus bouquet with vanilla caramel notes up front, and allspice/clove/cinnamon fall spices underneath. The taste was curiously different from the smell... an overt muddiness buried the overall taste. The fall spices are less recognizable, the caramel is negated by the marzen hops, and the pumpkin marzen blend seems disjointed. The mouthfeel is a tad on the watery side, but acceptable. Overall, this is a hot mess of a beer, with notable attributes but, in need of further refinement. I expect MiddleCoast to be tweaking this formula, going forward.

16 ounce can, no dating on it that I could find but I think it's a recent enough 2022 release. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a somewhat clear golden amber color with not quite an inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. I like the aroma, but it smells more like pumpkin spices and vanilla than it does a Märzen. Have to say the taste is pretty much just like the aroma too, lots of pumpkin spices and vanilla, along with some toasted malt. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's slick and smooth with a moderate amount of carbonation. MiddleCoast says this is a Märzen style beer brewed with pumpkins, but to me it's way more of a pumpkin ale than a Märzen. Just so you know what to expect if you try this one. Truthfully I liked this brew, it's a sweeter tasting pumpkin beer so if you're into that then I think you'll like it. Just don't expect much Märzen here. I bought it this morning thinking it was going to be a nice balance between the 2, but that wasn't the case. With that being said, I won't have any issues finishing these! $10.99 a 4-pack.
