Poured from 330mL can into my Belvarosi sörfesztivál tulip. No expiration date that I could see on the can — odd for a beer in the EU. But, I bought it at the winery in Etyek that collaborated with the brewery on this.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a moderate haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: sweet with a nice maltiness; it’s quite vinous, for sure. It has a green-grape aroma but no tartness or anything. It’s interesting — I kinda like it!
Taste: quite sweet, like the aroma, with a fair bit of malt flavor but also plenty of green grape. I think the idea is good, but the execution is a bit sweet for my taste.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: an interesting beer, for sure. I picked this up at the winery while doing a tasting there — I was shocked to see they had *beer* available too! I definitely like the creativity here, but I think it needs to be less sweet or to have its sweetness better balanced or something.
