Before writing this review, I poured the beer and sipped and sniffed a little. I was of the impression that this is a blond ale, but gradually I begin to think this might be a mead or someting. Maybe not the best way to review, but I will try to be objective.
The beer pours a turbid, yellow/orange color with a fine, lacey head.
Smell is odd. It has a little funky sour, combined with a sweetness. The smell of cooked vegetables is coming through. Not undrinkable, but not very appealing and if this is a beer points in the direction of an uncompleted fermentation.
Taste is sweet like honey and has the strong vegetable taste. Further down the beer, the beer tastes more balanced. Mouthfeel is sweet and too full bodied.
EDIT: I read in another store that this beer is brewed with Japanese wild tomatoes.
