Appearance: Pours like motor oil and is covered by a tan film that fades to a ringlet; very leggy
Smell: Roasted malt, dark chocolate, coconut and vanilla
Taste: Rich chocolate and roasted tones with a slightly burnt character; the coconut and vanilla emerge shortly thereafter, complementing the bolder tones through the middle and afterwards; the alcohol makes an appearance, just after the swallow, leaving a building warmth in the finish; the burnt element lingers throughout
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with low to moderate carbonation; considerable warmth in the gullet
Overall: Big and boozy with subtle adjunct tones; I would like to taste this beer again once the alcohol settled down but I fear that the adjuncts will have faded by then; dialing the ABV back would benefit this beer, IMHO
Thanks, elikan, for the opportunity
