What a great beer from a newish Hawaii brewery - was lucky enough to score a batch of crowlers recently so these were very fresh. No date printed on can. Pours a thick, almost jet-black opaque color with some nice tan mocha head that slowly settled, and some very scant lingering lacing. Smells great, very nice sweet nuttiness - almost reminded me of coconut - as well as medium roast coffee, dark chocolate, caramel, vanilla, malt, biscuit, maybe a touch of pecans or hazelnuts. Taste follows the nose, very rich and yet easy to drink, well-hidden high ABV. Mouthfeel was good, smooth and mild, slightly sticky and coated the palate - just wished it possessed a little more power and depth as this felt almost in between a regular stout and an imperial one. Nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoyed it and am looking forward to this brewery's other offerings.
