Picked up a single from TW-Greenville, SC 5-7-22 for $3.29. Canned 12-8-21; consumed 7-7-22.
Beer poured golden with a nice white head with the original pour.
Nose is yeasty with a touch of apple and pear.
Taste is a pilsner malt base with a touch of banana phenols which was not expected and overripe pear esters. Finishes on the sweet side with a trace of alcohol by-product.
Mouthfeel is medium to heavy bodied and smooth.
Overall definitely not a drain pour but the beer misses some of the classic marks i look for in the style.

L-minimally cloudy golden color with a faint head
S-there are some floral notes and the Belgian esters that are expected for the style. Hits the mark
T-lots of things going on in this taste, none bad but probably one more than would be ideal. There are definitely Belgian yeast flavors though with more mild fruits (banana?) than the aroma, some mild malt flavors, and a spicy aftertaste.
F-smooth and light, more refreshing than typical for style
O-this is a surprisingly successful beer for the style for a small brewery. I’d absolutely buy another 6pack. You’re not going to confuse it for a mainstream Belgian, but if you like style and see this beer it’s worth a try

12 oz can with a 27 May 2020 canning date stamp on the bottom, served in a lager glass.
Pours with a lightly hazy amber colored body topped by a minimal. The appearance looks undercarbonated. The mouthfeel confirms loose carbonation but this fits with the smooth, medium body.
The flavor is true to style with moderate bitterness and a complex, lightly yeasty flavor featuring soft, ripe fruit notes.

L: Poured from a crowler to a goblet. Had a bright, golden yellow color and a mostly clear consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Sparse lacing, though.
S: A good, but not spectacular, aroma of malt, dark fruit, spices, Belgian yeast, and some light fruit.
T: Tasted of a moderate amount of Belgian-style yeast (present throughout), a bit of malt (mostly in the finish), a tinge of melon (fleetingly), a good shot of dark fruit (figs, in particular, with raisins), and a little bit of pepper as well. This is a solid flavor, but not as sharp as others of the style. Still, it's oddly enjoyable.
F: A well-carbonated beer with a lively finish. Medium-bodied.
O: An uneven beer, but oddly likable. Worth a look.
