The appearance was a fairly bright yet hazy dark yellow color, pretty thick for the style but looked good for the most part. Finger's worth of white foamy head sustained adequately for a little bit. Slid off to leave some modest lace, slightly speckled.
The aroma had a huge hoppiness unlike most blonde ales with some grassy sweetness, touch of hop spice (slightly woody) and some citrusy rind bitterness. Slight pine further below.
The flavor moderately blends the prior mentioned whiffs together with some sharp zesty hop character, ample bitterness, some sweet dryness. Slight aftertaste of zesty citrus hop rinds and some pine.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionable to sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt a bit lower than usual for the normal blonde ale. Hop spice harshness lingers on my tongue. Slight hop spice with some zest on the finish.
Overall, I really liked one for me but normal blonde ale fans are probably not going to like this one. Hopheads, I found you a blonde ale you should try.
