This continuation of our hop series was brewed with our good friend Mike Lieser, and is focused around the goal of achieving a full spectrum of hop character.
This 7.3% American IPA was brewed on a pale base with large amounts of wheat & oats. We then added heavy amounts of Mosaic Hop Extract & Idaho 7 cryo hops in the whirlpool, followed by additional Idaho 7 cryo, Mosaic, Simcoe, and Strata hop terpenes toward the tail end of fermentation. After fermentation completed, we added an additional charge of Idaho 7, Mosaic, and Simcoe.
When poured from the can we immediately get aromas of pungent tropical fruit & mixed berries, with notes of ripened pineapple, strawberry, and an underlying dankness.
