Cloudy, amber color. Moderate starting head that settles to film and rim bubbles. Larger swatches of lace stick to the glass throughout.

From a distance, I pick up some fruity, candy-like aromas. Up close, the smell is more earthlike, muddy. There's faint apricot in the background.

Smooth mouthfeel and flavor upfront. Creamy, pale malt start which quickly ends at the swallow where a biting, nearly harsh, black pepper hop takes over. Throughout the taste, there's a bubblegum flavor in the background. The body is rich and the carbonation is muted. There's a bit of a yeast bite in the swallow, although the total effect does not create a very long aftertaste. I applaud the complexity, but the hop presence is borderline extreme.
