From a crowler canned on 10/02/18 and consumed on 10/03/18.
Total blackout stout appearance with a nice big tan colored head.
Smells excellent and is as advertised. Coffee, sweet vanilla, and cinnamon are all here, and in perfect amounts. Additionally, there is a large and very welcome bitter dark chocolate malt flavor to this one. Where this beer really wins is the balance. Cinnamon is often overbearing in beers, but Perfect Plain uses it well. Coffee too can be either overpowering or underwhelming, neither of these is the case here. Nice big malt roast, almost to the point of being burnt. The vanilla adds a elemt of sweetness, but the beer itself isn’t sweet. Perfect Plain scores another win with Over Easy.
