Poured from a 12 oz. freshness dated can: very attractive, clear, deep golden hue with a billowy, white head that dissipates quickly.
Very little distinction in the aroma - perhaps some perfumy hops.
Most American brewers can't match the Germans yet when it comes to Oktoberfest beers, including Marzen and Festbier styles. This one is no exception; while it has a generous malt profile, the hops are disjointed and give the lager a rough edge. While acceptable as a premium American style lager, it fails as a festbier.

Pours a golden honey color with a short soapy white head. Some spotty lacing.
The aroma is grainy sweet. Some metallic notes.
The taste follows the aroma. Grainy sweet with hints of metal and sulfur. Slight toasted malt and some honey.
Sweet on the palate but not overly so. Fairly crisp and clean in the finish. Moderate feel with prickly carbonation.
An average fest beer. Could use more German flavors to it.

Strike up the oompah bands and put on the liederhosen, Perfect Plain's Oktoberfest is pouring! In the brewing tradition of Bavaria, this Florida brewery brings a classic taste of Germany to the Panhandle.
Light gold and pouring brightly, their Oktoberfest releases an illustrious white crown while drifting softly with bread crust, floral hops and a mild honey-like sweet perfume. Malty and moderately sweet on the early palate, the first sips reveal a bolder impression of honey, toast, savory bread crust and a nuttiness of cashew.
Washing the middle palate with an elegant and juicy malt character, the sweeter tone of the beer never upsets refreshment as the beer is highly palatable, medium bodied and pleasantly bready. As the hops turn from floral to spicy, the late taste is simply bitter enough to take an edge off of the lingering but drying sweetness for a finish of crispness, semi-dryness and a hint of lemongrass and mint.
Crisp but also plump, the comforting lager is a perfect transition from the pilsners of summer and into something slightly more robust for fall. its both delicious and unassuming in a taste that certainly fits the tastebuds like a flavor security blanket.
