look: 3 | smell: 3 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.5

Appearance: It pours a dark red to brown color, sort of resembling apple cider. There is little carbonation.

Smell: Sweet malts and floral hops are noticeable right away. A slight "nutty" aroma is apparent as the beer warms.

Taste: Sweet malts can be tasted at first followed by a slight hop kiss. The hop bitterness is not equal to a good IPA but there is more of a punch than with some Pale Ales. Overall, it is pretty much what should be expected from an Irish Red Ale.

Mouth feel: It has a refreshing, thick feel with a slightly dry aftertaste from the hops.

Overall: It is not fantastic but it represents the style well.
