Appearance: Pours a near clear, light yellow-orange body with an inch of loose, near white suds.
Smell: Touch of week-old bread, a little graininess (which seems to be running throughout the Oconee brand). Hint of estery fruitiness and even a little bit diacetyl.
Taste: Very subtle bready, toasty qualities tied up with a bit of firm graininess. A little light brushing of treacle. Minute hint of diacetyl. Lightly citrusy, lightly fruity. Holds its modest initial sweetness through the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.
Overall: While the attempt at a lighter leaning, lower-ABV offering is appreciated, Esky is not exactly the tidiest, tightest of the bunch.
