Pours a hazy pale orange with two fingers of white foam. Aroma is papaya, tangerine, and orange zest with mild grassy and earthy hops behind. Focus is on the tropical fruits, with the latter adding a little roundness to the nose. Flavor profile is tangerine, grapefruit, orange, and grassy and earthy hops. Tropical fruits are real rindy, bringing forward that tropical fruit sweetness with some mild overripe bitterness. That bitterness actually works to create some better balance than just straight up sweet. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a crushed velvet effervescence. Overall, tropical fruits come thru well without pulling this beer off course or into the unbalanced territory.
