A delightful amber ale, conditioned on freshly roasted coffee from Oddly Correct. The goal for this beer was to minimize any roasty malt flavors so that the coffee could shine completely unencumbered. You'll find notes of chocolate and cinnamon, along with some rich caramel and plum flavors from the dark crystal malt. And clocking in at a sessionable 5.5%, Red Eye can be enjoyed any time of day.

Pours a very dark brown with hints of burgundy. Head is two fingers of off-white foam. Aroma is roasty coffee, which is cold and expansive. Toasty, nutty, and caramely malts form the rest of the nose, adding a heavy malt backbone to the initial coffee. Flavor profile is built around roasty coffee, which is present throughout. While coffee is bold, it's also kind of frail around the edges. Caramel and nutty malts form the bulk of the base, with mild grassy hops adding a little texture. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a semi-soft texture. Overall, it's coffee forward, with expansive, cold-brew type notes. It features lots of malts otherwise.
