Funky Side of the Tracks is a barrel-aged mixed fermentation farmhouse ale. It was primary fermented in stainless steel with a yeast from the Northern France / Southern Belgium border. We then transferred it to French oak and pitched a unique to Belgium (and one of our favorite) strain of Brettanomyces and let time take over. Funky Side of the Tracks presents a distinct Brett funk aroma/flavor along side of heavy ripe stone fruit with a hint of brine-y finish. Naturally bottle conditioned for just over 3 months, Funky Side can be enjoyed now or cellared for aging.
