West Coast India Pale Ale, 7% (Amarillo, Centennial, Fresh Frozen Simcoe Cryo).
A special IPA we've been eager to get back on the menu. A westie highlighted by three of the most iconic hops in the US . . . Simcoe, Amarillo, and Centennial. We leveled up this batch up by using Cryo Fresh Simcoe hops. Huge notes of pink grapefruit, lemon, pine, and a sensible dankness. An IPA with modern intentions built on the shoulders of a style that has left a permanent imprint in the beer universe.

Had It's Not A Put Down I Put My Foot Down at the Parleaux Beer Lab beer garden, New Orleans, on draft into Willi Becher, and poured from pint can, no date, but bought on Feb. 18, 2026, at the Parleaux Beer Lab taproom, into nonic pint.
Pours cloudy lemon-gold on draft, but with clarity from can until pour finished, with near-white, 2-finger head, and good retention, leaving rings of lace down the glass. Aromas of bright, tart peach and mild pilsner malt off pour, then some sweet pear aroma, with all continuing, joined by some little grapefruit, pine and floral aromas as warms, but with all aromas rather muted. On tasting, crisp carbonation delivers tart peach matching the aroma, and immediate pine resin, over a mild (pilsner?) malt body, before sweet pear moderates the peach, with the stone fruits carrying into growing grapefruit and resurgent pine, for a balanced, fruity, still malty but finally rather bitter West Coast finish.
Rather more tartly peachy than expected, but nicely fruity and resinous, even if surprisingly light for the 7.00% ABV.
