16oz. can served in a Spiegelau tulip. Pours an inky, opaque black with a rocky, three finger, khaki-colored head that gradually settles into a quarter inch cap leaving delicate, textured swaths of lacing as it recedes. Nose reveals roast and bakers chocolate and a trace of vanilla at the back. Taste follows nose - flavor profile is overly charred and masks the more subtle notes. Finish is somewhat bitter and lingers. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body with a carbonation shy of assertive. Overall, a bit too heavy on the char for my sensibilities.
