The waiter brought this for me from the "drinkery" part of the brewery (as they are divided between two parts where people just go for a drink or eat too) and I was glad for it: this was my first belgian quadrupel - in Czech!
Looks not that tough or heavy but the nose already tells you that you might expect dome belgian fruitiness. What I hate about belgians in their distinctive yeast, that was mildened by the density and sweetness of the beer. Although remarkably belgian after all, is still quite enjoyable for that fruity taste, perhaps a bit like a barley wine? Maybe not... Rather like a very dense belgian, without those sick yeasts. The booze wasn't there either and it was very easy to drink though its heaviness. Interesting beer, perhaps would drink it again!
